Meet the Staff


Dr. Terry Carro

Dr. Terry Carro is a native from Puerto Rico. After finishing her BS in biology she received her veterinary degree at Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. She followed her training with an internship at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and a residency at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM)  and  has been practicing in the South Florida Area for the past 18 years. Dr. Carro is married with 2 children. She enjoys boating, tennis and traveling. She has a special interest in blood disorders like anemia and bleeding disorders, infectious disease and intestinal problems.  Dr. Carro is fluent in English and Spanish.


Dr Pedro F. Armstrong

Dr. Pedro F. Armstrong grew up in San Juan, Puerto Rico.  He attended Iowa State University for pre-veterinary studies.  In 1996 he was admitted to Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine, where he graduated in the year 2000.  Following veterinary school, he did a one year rotating internship in VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital.  In 2001 he was admitted to a three year internal medicine at Atlantic Veterinary Internal Medicine in Annapolis, MD under the mentorship of Mark E. Hitt, DACVIM.  In June, 2004 Dr. Armstrong  passed the internal medicine boards.  Currently he is waiting acceptance of his publication in order to complete the board certification process.  Dr. Armstrong is interested in all aspects of internal medicine.  In addition he enjoys mountain biking, water skiing, swimming and traveling. Dr. Armstrong is fluent in English and Spanish.


Debbie Tobin

Debbie is originally from Bala Cynwyd, PA.  She worked at The University of Pennsylvania Veterinary Hospital for 10 years before moving to Florida.  For the past 12 years she has been working as an internal medicine technician with Dr Carro.  Her interests include football, long walks on the beach with her two dogs Abbey and Stewart and fondness for all animals.  Eventhough she grew up in Pennsylvania, recently she became a fan of the New England Patriots under the leadership of Tom Brady.
